Our Intermediate Group Class is offered to strengthen and reinforce your dog's basic training by  adding distractions and providing socialization in a structured class format. All dogs must be evaluated before joining the class to test their knowledge of the basic obedience skills.

Each week new levels of difficulty will be added to the basic obedience behaviors such as staying
from a distance, walking calmly through a crowd, recalling from 20 feet, and one minute sits and
    downs.

Audible and visual distractions are included to prepare your dog for sights and sounds that
he may encounter outside your home. We will also teach your dog proper greeting behaviors when
a person approaches and wishes to say 'hi' or when you would rather he stay calmly at your side.

  Clicker Workshop

Clicker training is a method of dog training based on marking desirable behavior and rewarding it.  Desirable behavior is marked by using a "clicker," a mechanical device that makes a short, distinct "click" sound which communicates to the dog that they're doing the right thing. This training method is an effective, safe, and humane way to teach your dog any behavior that he is physically and mentally capable of doing.

The clicker workshop will focus on basic clicker use, and shaping and capturing behavior through games and hands on training.
